Functional fundamentals are the basis for my art. I've spent a considerable amount of time studying the function of ceramics, as well as different methods of construction. I have found specific boundaries for the designs of my work. For example, I find cups to be especially important to consider ergonomics of the hand and comfort when it is lifted. The pottery wheel is my main method of construction when creating functional ceramics.
